The SCHURTER competence center for EMC in Mendrisio Switzerland has recently received the prestigious Customer’s Testing facility approval (CTF2) from IECEE.
With this certification, SCHURTER is now able to test passive appliance filter units according to IEC/EN60939-3 in its own laboratory facilities in Mendrisio. This allows SCHURTER to obtain ENEC certification for its products faster. ENEC stands for "European Norms Electrical Certification.
IEC/EN60939-3 defines the requirements for passive appliance filter units and ensures that they meet the highest safety and performance standards. By obtaining this certification, SCHURTER reaffirms its commitment to providing superior products that meet the most stringent industry standards.
Unlike the CE mark, the ENEC mark is not a self-declaration. In order to use the ENEC product marking, certification by an independent testing institute is required.
Passive appliance filter units bearing the ENEC mark can now be brought to market more quickly by SCHURTER. The shortened time period is particularly interesting for companies that require customer-specific appliance filter units.
